About

We're a theatre and film ensemble that runs classes for creative kids aged 4+ in Adelaide, South Australia.

True North Youth Theatre Ensemble is one of South Australia's leading youth theatre organisations.

We engage young people in every aspect of the artistic and creative process. We act, play, write, compose, sing and dance. We create films, web series and theatre performances with young people aged 4 to 24 in Adelaide, South Australia.

We run workshops that teach theatre performance, technical skills and stage award winning live productions that have toured locally and internationally.

We were established in 2013 by Producer Juliette Zavarce and Theatre Maker, Actor and Director Alirio Zavarce.

We produce theatre of high quality that speaks about the experiences of young people.

Our professional artists mentor, teach and co-create with young people using community cultural development and social inclusion principles.

We use every medium, technique, space and technology.

We act, write, compose, film, dream, play, brainstorm and develop skills, sense of community and belonging in a safe space.

We create oportunities where there are none.

We believe in making a difference in the community, so we use theatre as vehicle for social change. We make work that is relevant locally, but resonates globally. Ultimately, we develop pathways for young people to become leaders, tutors, artists and humans.
